Louise Downe website
Creating a 'presence' on the web is easier now than it ever has been. Yet so much of what we do is tied up in our contributions to third party services like Twitter, Svpply, Lanyrd or Dribble that it can be hard to draw those threads together to form any kind of unified personality.
To support her conference schedule and writing commissions, Louise needed a simple page to quickly let people know who she is and what she does, providing a background context to her ideas and opinions. The content is an aggregation of her activity across Lanyrd and Twitter.

The site used CSS media-queries & a fluid grid (a technique now referred to as responsive design) to ensure it looked as good when accessed on smartphones as it did on conventional computers.
As Louise's reputation increased the project list became increasingly unnecessary, so we removed it in 2011 - using the space to display a Lanyrd widget instead. Already a Lanyrd user, this allows Louise to keep the website automatically updated with her upcoming speaking engagements.
